Preparing to Give Thanks, Part 1: Daily Thankful Activity

Last weekend, LG and I began some of the preparations in order to continue our family tradition of making November a whole month of thanksgiving.  Last year, we made a poster-sized tree and each day in the month of November, we added a leaf with something for which we were grateful.  (I thought I had a picture of the tree, but I cannot find it.)  Here, instead, is a picture of the leaves.  The leaves were actually an outline of our hands on different colored sheets of construction paper.

This year, we prepared a poster-sized cornucopia, and LG and I cut out different types of fruits and vegetables.

Starting on November 1st, we will write down something for which we are thankful for and stick on the cornucopia.  By the end of the month, it will be filled with the various items for which we thank God and we thank one another.

Next, Clothes Pin People to help personalize your Thanksgiving table.
